EXPLORE BRUCE GUENTHER'S PORTLAND Thursday JUNE 22ND to Sunday June 25TH Enjoy arrival reception at Irene and Jerry Barr's condo and Tracy and Chris Keys' loft in the Pearl District (wine and Hors d'oeuvres). Walk with Bruce to art galleries and on to dinner the first night. Tour the Portland Art Museum's new Jubitz Center for Modern and Contemporary Art, a $40 million renovation of an historic Masonic Lodge, with Bruce Guenther, curator. See the new 30 ft high Lichtenstein sculpture in front of the building! and enjoy exhibitions of Richard Rezac (Chicago) and the Hilda Morris Retrospective. Join Bruce for cocktails and Hors d'oeuvres in his art and book filled "mid-century" home in SE Portland. Talk about behind the scenes ! Visit 7 private homes and contemporary and modern art collections, including a visit to one of best collections of French Impressionists on the West Coast. Experience the unique Bullseye Glass Factory, largest glass factory in USA, and see their special artist's residency program. We will also have opportunity to visit the Bullseye Gallery in the Pearl. Stops at artists' studios and the Reed College Art Gallery will round out our visit. View Portland from the International Rose Test Gardens-enjoy 9,000 rose bushes in full bloom on 4 acres!-and a visit to the classic Chinese Gardens or Japanese Gardens will give us a eye-freshening break from all the art. 3 nights at downtown Westin Hotel (breakfast not included), 3 lunches, 1 dinner a la gourmet.
